DISPOSAL OF LATEX PAINTS Starting in 2008 the Gloucester County Household Special Waste (HSW) Collection Program will NO LONGER ACCEPT any latex paint. We will no longer be accepting latex paint at our HSW events due to the enormous fees involved. It is technically non-hazardous because latex paint is a water based paint. It needs to be dried out and put in the regular household trash. Only oil based paint will be accepted at the county program. Please do not bring any latex paint or you will have to take it home. There are solutions to help; if
you follow the easy directions below. Remember no municipalities are
going to have any special collection times for latex paint so please take
the time to read these simple directions.
NO ASBESTOS PRODUCTS WILL BE ACCEPTED. For disposal of asbestos
products contact GCIA at 478-6045, ext. 10.
Explosives or Highly Reactive Materials may be dangerous. If you have these types of materials, call first for safety instructions. DO NOT bring these materials without prior authorization! These dangerous items include, but are not limited to, picric acid, isopropyl ether, calcium carbide, perchloric acid and benzoyl peroxide. |
