Annually, Cumberland County has recently conducted three (3) comprehensive HHW disposal days.  HHW/Electronic Recycling Day Programs for the year 2008 are:

  • Saturday, April 19, 2008 - City of Millville
  • Saturday, June 7, 2008 - County Complex , Bridgeton
  • Saturday, September 13, 2008 - City of Vineland

Acceptable Household Hazardous Waste Items: 

  • Used Motor Oil,

  • Hydraulic Oil, 

  • Transmission Fluid,

  • Kerosene, 

  • Diesel Fuel, 

  • Heating Oil. Please do not mix with Gasoline or Chlorinated Solvents.

  • Oil-Based Paints, 

  • Paint Cleaners, 

  • Stains,

  • Finishes, 

  • Batteries, 

  • Cleaning Compounds,

  • Pesticides, Herbicides,

  • Adhesives, 

  • Garden Chemicals,

  • Corrosives, 

  • Poisons, 

  • Car Batteries,

  • Anti-Freeze, 

  • Propane Tanks, 

  • and More!
      

  • Limited To 150 lbs or 20 Gallons Maximum Per Trip.

Acceptable Used Consumer Electronic Items: 

  • Computers,

  • Monitors, 

  • VCR’S, 

  • Keyboards,

  • Servers, 

  • Terminals,

  • Telephones,

  • Laptop

  • Computers,

  • Televisions,

  • Printers

  • Stereos,

  • Computer Wire,

  • Mouse 

  • Controllers.
      

  • Limited To Six Computer Units.

 

CAUTION

Explosives or Highly Reactive Materials may be dangerous. If you have these types of materials, call first for safety instructions. DO NOT bring these materials without prior authorization! These dangerous items include, but are not limited to, picric acid, isopropyl ether, calcium carbide, perchloric acid and benzoyl peroxide.
