Please note that the acceptable/unacceptable waste lists are not intended to be all inclusive. If you have an item which is not on either list, please call the Division of Solid Waste Management.
Asbestos – Prior to bringing asbestos containing material , you MUST pre-register by calling our Division at (732) 745-4170. You must double bag the material for transport, and you cannot bring more than 500 lbs. per vehicle per day.

- No containers over ten gallons

WOODBRIDGE PUBLIC WORKS,
225 SMITH STREET, KEASBEY, NJ 08832
- From the southwest: Take either Rt. 1 North or N.J. Turnpike North to exit 10 and get onto Rt. 440 North (east) toward Staten Island. (Rt. 287 South becomes Rt. 440 North). Take the exit for Smith Street/Industrial Avenue/Fords. Follow the signs for Smith Street, bearing left toward Keasbey. Go through one light. Stay in the right lane and turn right at the sign for Woodbridge Public Works, between bridge overpasses. Go down the hill toward the river and turn right, toward the Public Works yard.
- From the Southeast: Take Rt. 9 North to Rt. 35 North. Stay in the right lane and follow circle for Rt. 35 North. Stay right and take the Rt. 35 Victory Bridge across the river. Turn left at the first light onto Smith Street. Travel less than 1 mile and stay in the left lane. Just after passing under the bridges, take the left lane U-turn. Immediately get into the right lane. Turn right at the sign for the Woodbridge Public Works, between bridge overpasses. Go down the hill toward the river and turn right toward the Public Works yard.
MIDDLESEX COUNTY DIVISION OF HIGHWAYS GARAGE
APPLE ORCHARD LANE, NORTH BRUNSWICK , NJ 08902
- FROM THE NORTH: Take Rt. 1 South to Rt. 130 South. Follow Rt. 130 for approximately 3 miles and turn left onto Apple Orchard Lane toward the Middlesex County Adult Correctional Facility. The Road Department Garage is the second building on the left, after Youth Services. Signs will be posted.
- FROM THE SOUTH: Take Rt. 130 North. After entering North Brunswick , follow for approximately 1 mile, and turn right onto Apple Orchard Lane toward the Adult Correctional Facility. The Road Department Garage is the second building on the left, after Youth Services. Signs will be posted.
MIDDLESEX COUNTY COLLEGE,
WOODBRIDGE AVE. AND MILL ROAD, EDISON, NJ 08818
- FROM THE NORTH/NORTH WEST: Take I287 South. Near where 287 becomes 440, take the exit for Rt. 514 West (toward Bonhamtown and Raritan Center). Travel approximately 2 miles and turn left onto Mill Road, passing the County College on the left. Once on Mill Road travel to the first traffic light and turn left into the College entrance. The collection center will be on the right. Follow signs and/or traffic cones.
- FROM THE SOUTH: Take Rt. 1 North. Shortly after crossing the Raritan River take the exit for Woodbridge Ave. (514 East). Once merged onto 514 follow for approximately 2 miles. Bear right at the sign for Mill Road/Middlesex County College. Once on Mill Road, travel to the next traffic light and turn left into the College entrance. The collection center will be on the right. Follow signs and/or traffic cones.
MIDDLESEX COUNTY DIVISION OF HIGHWAYS DEPT.,
750 JERNEE MILL ROAD, SAYERVILLE, NJ 08872
- FROM THE NORTH WEST: Take Rt. 9 South to the exit for Ernston Road. At the bottom of the ramp, make a right. At first light make a left on to Bordentown Avenue. Continue on Bordentown Avenue for approximately 2 1/2 miles and then make a right onto Jernee Mill Road (Rt. 675). Continue 1/10th of a mile and make a left into the Road Dept. Garage.
- FROM EAST: Take Rt. 18 South to Rt. 615 North (Bordentown Avenue); exit is also for Rt. 527. At the bottom of the ramp, turn left onto Rt. 615 North, also called Main Street. Stay on Main Street, which turns into Bordentown Avenue, for just under 2 miles and make a left onto Jernee Mill Road (Rt. 675). Continue 1/10th of a mile and make a left into the Road Dept. Garage.
OLD BRIDGE PUBLIC WORKS
1 OLD BRIDGE PLAZA, OLD BRIDGE, NJ 08857
- FROM THE NORTH: Follow Rt. 9 South and exit for Rt. 516 East toward Matawan. Merge onto Rt. 516 East and travel less than 1/4 mile and turn left into the Municipal Complex. Signs will be posted.
- FROM WEST: Take Rt. 18 South into East Brunswick, passing Brunswick Square Mall on the right. Take exit for Matawan/Rt. 516 East. Travel on Rt. 516 East for approximately 3 miles. After passing the interchange for Rt. 9, travel less than 1/4 mile and turn left into the Municipal Complex. Signs will be posted.
