2011-04-30 – Unused Medicine Disposal – The DEA’s National Take Back Initiative

If you cannot make the April 30, 2011 DEA program, the American Medicine Chest Challenge will also be sponsoring an unused or expired medicine disposal program on November 12, 2011.  Click here to go to their website and to look up locations for drop-off sites.

1996-08-01 – Focus Obtains State Approval for Universal Waste Facility

Focus Recycling Systems, Inc. (“FOCUS”) of NJ and NY has obtained approval from the USEPA and the NYSDEC to operate as a large quantity universal waste handler in accordance with the EPA Universal Waste Rule.

The FOCUS universal waste-handling facility is authorized to handle batteries, mercury thermostats and certain pesticides from various sources, including household/residential and certain conditionally exempt generators. Other processing capabilities will be added in the future, such as paints, motor oil filters, aerosol cans, electronics/CRT’s and appliances.
